The Missouri Ask. Listen. Refer. (MOALR) suicide prevention training program is designed to help Missouri residents prevent suicide by teaching how to:

  • Identify people at risk for suicide,
  • Recognize the risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs of suicide, and
  • Respond to and get help for people at risk

The program takes about 30 minutes to complete.

If you are a student, faculty, staff, or other member of a campus community, visit our online suicide prevention training for colleges and universities which can be found at the Ask, Listen, Refer website and find your campus. Almost all Missouri colleges and universities have a training site, and a handful of out-of-state schools do as well.

The training takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Yes, upon completion of the pre-test, full training content, and posttest, you will receive a certificate of completion. You can log back into the program at any time to revisit the content or recertify and receive an updated certificate.

Yes! This training still has helpful, general information about suicide and suicide prevention; however, all the resources will be Missouri based.

No, this training is 100% free. The only thing you need to complete this training is an email address in order to create an account and login.
